Hearing the Call: A Quiet Beginning

There’s a quiet stirring sometimes—barely a whisper at first—that asks, Is there more?

It doesn’t arrive with fanfare or demand answers. It simply lingers, a soft pull toward something larger: the Source, the Universe, Spirit, or just the raw essence of existence itself. No religion required, no doctrine to sign. It’s an invitation to notice, to feel, to wonder.
I’ve come to call these moments inclinations—metaphysical ones. They show up in the ordinary: the sudden hush when a thought dissolves into stillness, the unexplained comfort of sitting in twilight, the way a stranger’s glance or a bird’s call feels like it carries a message meant only for you. They remind me there must be some mystery in life.
Something to challenge our minds.
Ways to stimulate thought and truths.
A desire to explore the unknown.
These things we need
to awaken our soul.
These things we need
to make us whole.

We are made of so much more than physical matter. The body moves through the day, but it’s the energy field—the subtle hum beneath the skin—that does the real communicating. Not just between ourselves and others, but with animals, with nature, with the vastness beyond. A shared silence with a tree, a sudden synchronicity with a friend, the inexplicable peace of a place that “feels right”—these are the threads.
We hunger for more than simple sustenance for the body.
We hunger for the satiation
of the heart,
of the mind,
of the soul.

This blog is just that hunger made visible. No grand teachings here, no step-by-step guides. Only my own raw musings and observations as they arise: fragments of wonder, quiet discomforts, fleeting comforts, and the many ways the metaphysical brushes against everyday life. Sometimes it’s comforting, sometimes unsettling, often both at once.
If any of this resonates—if you’ve felt that same stirring, that same pull toward the unseen—welcome. Pull up a chair in this quiet corner. We can sit with the mystery together, noticing what shows up.
What calls to you these days? What whispers have you heard lately?
